- This summer, we saw an unprecedented number of children and families fleeing violence in Central America. In response, we put out a call for foster families and received an outpouring of compassion and generosity from potential parents around the country.
- With help from many of you, we advocated for family unity and for immigrant rights—in response, the government launched new programs that will help keep families together and ensure that they come out of the shadows.
- When the obsolete practice of family immigration detention was reintroduced, with the average age of children in detention only 6 years old, we organized the Hope for the Holidays campaign. Our expectations were blown away when we received more than 5 times the number of Christmas cards we asked for, and 4 times the number of gifts.
As our 75th year comes to a close, we cannot emphasize enough how grateful we are for your support. Together, we accomplished much and extended the “long welcome” to many new Americans. Thank you for your continued generosity!
